About AIC

AIC is a private program which provides substance abuse services to Kansas clients (age 18+) with a continuum of care ranging from prevention, intervention, & assessments for drug and alcohol court referrals to outpatient treatment for the disease of alcoholism and other drug abuse.  Individuals, families and communities are welcomed with care and respect.  We will either provide the necessary tools to get better or we will refer clients to an appropriate program i.e. inpatient substance abuse treatment or mental health counseling. The executive director provides both counseling and guidance to help the client “help themselves” in making healthier decisions and following through to enhance their lifestyle and well-being. She has 30+ years experience in substance abuse treatment and is licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (KSBSRB).

Our Mission

AIC provides quality substance abuse prevention, intervention, treatment and aftercare, primarily, to Western Kansas communities in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.

Our Vision

The program is based on the disease concept of addictive illness and as such, constantly strives to practice current treatment methods.  AIC will continue as a resource for anyone searching for information about chemical dependency, including 12-step group information, inpatient treatment information and tackling other addictions i.e. gambling.

Our Philosophy

  • AIC believes the client always comes first.
  • AIC demonstrates dignity and respect to all clients, family, and participants.
  • AIC collaborates with other providers, court systems and community members.
  • AIC must help those who take that first step toward recovering from addiction only to find they also recover in so many other aspects in their lives.  “Develop an attitude of gratitude and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”
